Michael Janisch records live at Pizza

US bassist Michael Janisch records his new album for Whirlwind Recordings live at the Pizza Express over two nights, 4 and 5 May, with an international lineup featuring Jason Palmer (t, from Boston), Paul Booth (ts, London), Leonardo Genovese (p, NYC) and Colin Stranahan (d, NYC). Admission to the concerts includes a free copy of Janisch's 2009 debut album, Purpose Built.

The concerts are the latest events in the energetic and ambitious Michael Janisch Presents series at the Dean St, London W1 club, which has involved appearances by Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor, Jon Irabagon, George Garzone, Till Brönner and other leading lights of the European and US scenes.
