Ascona jazz festival 23 June to 3 July

The Ascona Jazz Festival, renowned for its focus on classic and New Orleans jazz in the beautiful lakeside setting of Lago Maggiore in Switzerland, takes place this year from 23 June to 3 July and offers over 200 jazz concerts in 10 days.

Among the shows announced so far are Jon Faddis (in tribute to Roy Eldridge); A Big Celebration For Mr. Little Jazz featuring Colin Dawson with Dan Barrett, Eddie Erikson, Rebecca Kilgore, Bernd Lotzky and more; Big Jay McNeely’s R&B Explosion; Steve Pistorious; Dado Moroni trio & quartet with Alvin Queen; Lillian Boutté; Duffy Jackson; Pink Turtle; Re-Generation Brass Band; Swiss Yerba Buena Creole Rice Jazzband; Wolverines Jazzband and many more.
