Drambuie's The Brass And Crimson comes to Glasgow's SWG3, with a line-up featuring Kamasi Washington, Moses Boyd and Andrew Ashong

Drambuie’s The Brass And Crimson is set to visit SWG3 in Glasgow on 31 October, headlined by American jazz saxophonist, composer and producer Kamasi Washington (pictured right by Rita Pulavska).

The series sets out to celebrate modern interpretations of what the press release calls, without explicit detail, "Drambuie brand’s jazz heritage" as well as serving guests a selection of Drambuie cocktails.

The return of The Brass And Crimson follows an appearance in London earlier this year - where Canadian band BADBADNOTGOOD, DJ Bradley Zero and Dutch artist Jameszoo performed at Behind the Bike Shed - as well as a series of events in 2016, in which The Brass And Crimson played host to a lineup including Taylor McFerrin, Jamie Woon and Soweto Kinch. The Brass and Crimson Glasgow will continue its tradition of bringing together established performers alongside up and coming artists to present jazz’s influence across multiple genres to create modern musical experiences.

The Brass and Crimson Glasgow will also showcase drummer and performer Moses Boyd, "part of the new wave of London artists bringing jazz to a wider audience" and member of the award-winning duo Binker & Moses. Ghanaian-British soul singer-songwriter, DJ and producer Andrew Ashong will be the MC for the evening, bringing beats made for the dance floor infused with soul and jazz inspired rhythms and textures. All shows will be broadcast live on the NTS Facebook page and will be available to listen again on NTS radio.

Tickets for The Brass And Crimson are free and available from The Brass And Crimson Facebook page
