Preview: White Mink's Electro-Swing

The new Clapham Grand residency features music, burlesque and cabaret in an "unrivalled speakeasy experience" for a 21st-century club night

Events company White Mink brings its Electro Swing Speakeasy nights to London's Clapham Grand from Saturday 3 October and promises "DJs, VJs, live bands, dancers, cabaret and burlesque performers for an unforgettable and unrivalled speakeasy experience."

The first Clapham Grand event will feature Swingrowers, Natty Congeroo & The Flames Of Rhythm (pictured right), DJs Chris Tofu and Nick Hollywood, Missy Macabre, Sharon Davis as Bonnie Fox and a Fire Cabaret performance, among other delights.

The nights - which also take place in Brighton, Bath and other venues - take their inspiration from the speakeasys of the 1920s and 30s, then bring the entertainment up-to-date for a 21st-century nightclub. According to White Mink the Clapham Grand, originally opened as a music hall in 1900, " perfectly suited to our particular brand of glamour, sleaze and debauchery."

Dates for the residency are as follows:

3 October 2015
5 December 2015
5 March 2016
2 April 2016
7 May 2016
