Joanna Eden tours movie jazz

Joanna Eden takes a jazz view of film themes in Jazz At The Movies, with the Chris Ingham Trio and Alan Barnes

Jazz and film combine this autumn with a September to December tour of “Jazz At The Movies”, featuring Joanna Eden on vocals, the Chris Ingham Trio and special guest Alan Barnes.

The project takes popular songs from films such as From Russia With Love, The Aristocats, The Pink Panther, Lady And The Tramp, Alfie and The Ipcress File and gives them a jazz makeover, along with anecdotes about the music.

Joanna Eden has been described as “the UK’s answer to Norah Jones and Diana Krall” by Time Out and has been endorsed by Michael Parkinson (“Seek her out”), with three albums released to date: A Little Bird Told Me (2000), My Open Eye (2005) and Moving Shadows (2007).

Jazz At The Movies has previously toured the country with sold-out appearances at Ronnie Scott’s in 2012 and 2013. Bury Free Press said: “Friendly and personal, relaxed and intimate, this interesting and quirky two-hour show went down a storm." The band is now set to appear at a number of south-east towns, as follows:

12 September, Saffron Walden; 1 October, Basildon; 3 October, Ipswich; 4 October, Sleaford; 5 October, Diss; 7 October, Canterbury; 10 October, Cambridge; 10 October, Letchworth; 11 October, London; 24 October, Stoke By Nayland; 23 November, Haverhill.

The band will also tour throughout December in the run-up to Christmas; see the tour schedule at, where you can also book tickets to the upcoming shows.
