January jazz on the waves

There's still a chance to enjoy some hot jazz away from winter's chill aboard two jazz cruises out of the US bound for the Caribbean

Jazz cruiseTwo imminent jazz cruises out of the US have lineups to challenge the best of the landlocked festivals.

The Jazz Cruise 2013 makes its way from Fort Lauderdale through St. Thomas, St. Barths and Half Moon Cay next January, and there are still a few cabins remaining for jazz fans who fancy taking to the seas.

The line-up this year includes the Karrin Allyson Trio, the Kurt Elling Trio, Freddy Cole, and the Ann Hampton Calloway Quartet.

A sister cruise, the Smooth Jazz Cruise, also has just a few cabins remaining to book, and with George Benson as this year's special guest, they're likely to go fast. Dubbed '"the greatest party at sea", the Smooth Jazz Cruise calls at Mexico, Belize and Florida and this year features such talents as Patches Stewart, Margaret Bell and David Sanborn.

Visit Jazz Cruise and Smooth Jazz Cruise online for full line-ups and to book tickets.
