Win Laurie Holloway VIP tickets

Laurie HollowayJazz Journal is delighted to host a competition for two VIP tickets to a charity concert featuring Laurie Holloway.

Laurie Holloway and his trio (Dave Olney, bass and Harold Fisher, drums) play the charity fundraiser with special guest Kenny Lynch at Taplow Court, Berkshire, on Friday 27 May.

The show will feature music and conversation from Laurie and friends, drawing on Laurie's professional experience from the 60s onwards as musical director to Michael Parkinson and many others.

The evening will benefit two charities for young people: the Buckinghamshire-based Padstones, which supports homeless young adults, and the Montgomery Holloway Music Trust, which was set up by Laurie Holloway and his late wife, the jazz singer Marion Montgomery. Outstanding students from the Montgomery Holloway Music Trust will perform alongside Laurie's trio, as will the Suzuki Flutes.

Tickets are £12 per head with concessions and are available from either Pat Goodman on 01628 784618 or Sue Ogden on 01628 660872 or email sueogden@padstones.org.uk.

To enter the competition for the Jazz Journal VIP tickets, send your answer to the following question to editor@jazzjournal.co.uk:

Which TV show hosted by a Bill Evans fan is Laurie Holloway associated with?

The winner will be the first from the JJ hat on 3 May with the correct answer. Good luck!
