The summer festival frenzy is over but in what is otherwise a quiet month for festival goers in western Europe, the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival presents a world-class programme and several unique appearances 22-25 October.

This year’s roster includes the Herbie Hancock band, Charlie Haden’s Quartet West, Robert Glasper, Omar Sosa, Neil Cowley, Steve Winwood, the Vijay Iyer Trio, Charles McPherson, Jason Moran, Christine Tobin, Louis Stewart, Yuri Honing’s
Wired Paradise, Maceo Parker, Norma Winstone, David Linx, Seamus Blake, Tord Gustavsen, Maria Pia DeVito, Bill Carrothers, Yann Tiersen, The Brand New Heavies, Tina May, Mary Halvorson, Tom Rainey and many more as well
as free music in over 80 pub and club venues citywide.
