EFG London Jazz Festival 2017 latest




A sixth wave of concerts has been announced by the EFG London Jazz Festival, adding Robert Glasper and others to the British capital's winter jazz parade

The sixth and final wave of concerts for the 25th London Jazz Festival (10-19 November) has been announced and includes Robert Glasper, Jaga Jazzist + Sinikka Langeland and Basquiat And Jazz – featuring Black Top + Friends.

Previously announced highlights at the festival, produced by Serious and sponsored by the EFG private banking group, include Pat Metheny, Keith Tippett, Tomasz Stanko, Bill Charlap and Stephen Keogh, Dice Factory (editor’s pick number one), Chucho Valdés & Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Kirk Lightsey, Michael Wollny, Scott Hamilton, Chris Potter, Soweto Kinch, Chris Thile & Brad Mehldau, John Surman, Karin Krog, Marcus Miller, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Herbie Hancock, Knower (ed’s pick number two – as endorsed by Bob Mintzer and pictured right), Eliane Elias, Alan Barnes, Mike Stern & Dave Weckl, Pharoah Sanders, Fred Hersch, Stefano Bollani and Miles Davis Symphonic: Kind of Blue, with The Guy Barker Jazz Orchestra + Southbank Sinfonia.
